How do I get started?
To help you get acquainted with the program, we've put together a few quick tips.
Please use the "Help" menu to learn more about the program,
and to
explore all of the features this program offers.
CARCare
makes
extensive use of your right-mouse
button.
In most
areas of the program, when you
right-click on a record in a list, you
will receive a popup menu of options to
choose from. The options you receive
will depend upon the type of record you
clicked on.
The
popup menu pictured to the left presents
the options that are valid for a fuel
record.
To edit a record you can also
double-click your left mouse button.
CARCare
uses
a legal-pad theme throughout most areas
of the program. The traditional OK
and Cancel buttons have been
replaced with a green check-mark, and a
red "X" respectively,
generally in the upper-right corner of a
window.
When you hover your mouse pointer over
these buttons they will appear brighter.
Click a button to save or cancel the
current operation.
Statistics
at a glance.
The status bar at the bottom of the main
window gives you odometer reading,
overall fuel economy and total
maintenance costs for the currently
selected (highlighted) vehicle. Very
convenient!
Reporting
is one of the most useful features of CARCare.
The left-most button on the toolbar is
used to activate the report viewer for
the currently selected (highlighted)
vehicle. Once the report viewer appears
you can select from a variety of reports
by dropping-down the report list, as
shown below.
All
reports start in preview mode. To print
the current report, click the print
button on the toolbar of the Report
Viewer.
While previewing a report you
can zoom in and out using the
percentages presented in the zoom
listbox. You can also double-click-left
to zoom in, and double-click-right to
zoom out.
You can click and drag the report within
the report viewer window. Simply
position your mouse pointer anywhere on
the report and hold down the left mouse
button while moving your mouse.
